2 Welcome to our 2025 Otter House Christmas Collection catalogue. The Otter House team have been busy making sure we have some new and exciting designs for the festive season. Within our ranges this year, we have a mix of our best-selling designs, along with over 90 new designs across our RSPB, luxury, festive, bumper box, relations and gift packaging collections. Our Sock it to ’em! sock collection has proven hugely popular, and we are delighted to bring you 12 brand new designs for 2025! Puzzle lovers will be delighted with our collection of over 25 festive designs that span 1,000 and 500 piece jigsaws, each featuring a large, printed insert and conscientiously packaged in recyclable paper envelopes. In addition to our retail collections, we offer a tailored design service, available to both retail and charity customers, where we create bespoke, personalised designs. Our close collaboration with charity partners ensures that their brand message shines through, creating meaningful and purposeful products. So, whether it’s cards, stationery, calendars, or gifts, our expertise will bring your distinctive vision and brand identity to life. Kirsty Guy Managing Director Stepping into 2025 with Otter House... We’re happy to report that 2024 was another successful year for us in regard to our steps towards net zero. Before net zero, we have our near-term target to hit, which is to reduce our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, and we’re making great progress towards it. Below is an update on the various aspects of last year’s environmental journey: Plastics commitment for cards and gift We’re working on our plastics commitment to achieve 90% plastic-free packaging across our main retail ranges by December 2025. We’re presently calculating our position, but we can say that we are in excess of 50% plastic-free packaging already. Thank you to colleagues and suppliers who have been proactive in helping us deliver these changes. Calendars We have had more progress in the last year on calendars and we’re now at 91.7% plastic-free packaging or no packaging across our range. This includes all calendars and diaries that we sell. We are also now at 100% FSC paper and board being used in the production. For the 2024 season, we have also made significant changes to our warehouse supply system changing our reliance on older forms of managing orders in favour of new digital forms. This change has removed a huge amount of paper from our warehouse operations reducing both paper waste and printer waste. With more advancements planned for 2025, this process is only set to keep improving. Supply Chain Improvements We’re now manufacturing even more of our products with suppliers credited with industry-leading environmental programs. We’ve also been developing relationships and credentials with small producers both in the UK and overseas to help them expand on current successes and advance their eco status including SBTi. Regulations We’ve been working hard this year following the numerous regulation changes across the industry. We’re excited to support the work being done by the EU and the UK to make products safer and less environmentally impactful. Every step of this journey will prove beneficial to the planet. Wildlife Garden The last 12 months have seen our garden blossom. The planting is well established and growing steadily and the pond is resplendent with life! Bird and bug life in the garden has expanded given the new varieties of plants we’ve introduced and the wild flowers have added beautiful colours throughout the year. The local fox population is adoring their new wild playground too, with increased sightings demonstrating their comfort and enjoyment in the garden. What do we have planned for 2025? We continue on our SBTi path to keep reducing carbon in line with our near-term target. We aim to reduce scope 1 and 2 by 46% by 2030 and will publish our updated emissions progress in spring 2025. We underwrite the majority of costs and stock risk, pay a commission to the charity on net sales and process all donations free of charge. We have long-standing relationships with our charity customers and work closely with the charities to maintain the integrity of their branding and ethos. Examples of our existing charity partners are illustrated below. BESPOKE PRODUCTS 44 Otter House offer a bespoke product printing service for all retail customers. We can take your artwork and brand, design and manufacture product and deliver it straight to your shop. We have strong environmental and ethical policies within Otter House which influence our production decisions. We use FSC-certified paper, remove or reduce plastic to its lowest necessary level and use recyclable materials wherever possible. Our supplier base is all audited for their ethical and environmental status. Let us know your eco requirements and we’ll do everything we can to help you achieve them. By combining bespoke orders with our own production, we are able to offer competitive prices. We offer a full studio service, either taking your own artwork or designing specific to your requirements. We liaise directly with you throughout the design process to create your final design.
