Our published target was 50% of our suppliers being SBTi committed by 2025, so we should smash our supplier engagement target Climate Action Award Carousel Calendars are delighted to be one of the four winners at the inaugural Products of Change Sustainable Development Goals Members Awards 2023. We were recognised for our Climate Action, our taking the lead in innovation, sharing our processes with the wider industry and for becoming the first in the sector to have our science-based target reductions approved by SBTi. Electric Car Scheme Having added charging points, and changed company vehicles to EV/PHEV or hybrid, we have now launched our Electric Car Scheme, which will help our members of staff to obtain a lease for an electric car. This will help us to reduce our carbon footprint and simultaneously help staff achieve their own personal eco goals. Wildlife Garden We’ve sown and natured a wide variety of plants and flowers in our new wildlife garden on our premises. We’re thrilled to be welcoming not only a broadening range of biodiversity but also increasing numbers of staff members who take advantage of the peaceful surroundings on their lunchbreak or before the busy day begins. What do we have planned for 2024? • Having successfully changed our warehouse lighting to LED many years ago, we’re now improving our office lighting, moving from traditional light sources to LED panels saving around 1.5 tCO2e per annum • We’re rolling out head office on-site waste sortation, which will help improve the knowledge of our waste stream and maximise our recycling and composting • We’re developing product further to remove even more plastic from our ranges • We’re improving our eco messaging to help our end consumers reuse and recycle our products We’ve got another busy year ahead, but we welcome the challenge to move us closer to net zero.
